MPLG Course Development Methodology

MPLG offers two different approaches to course development as listed below:

  • Prepackaged courses selected from our library
  • Customer-specific developed courses

Both the prepackaged courses and the custom-developed courses offer a quality solution to customer requirements. The prepackaged courses offer the advantage of being immediately available to meet customer schedules. The custom courses offer the advantage of (1) aiming the instruction at the technical requirements and (2) at the skill level of the students. Some customers prefer us to lightly tailor our existing courses in accordance with their processes.
If the custom course method is selected, MPLG uses the following procedure in preparing a course for the customer group:

  • Interview representatives from the customer company
  • Select appropriate training modules from the MPLG training library
  • Custom tailor the MPLG materials to address the specific requirements of the customer.

Training Methods Used

MPLG utilizes a range of methods to provide training, depending on the requirements of each training engagement. The usual methods include the following:

  • Interactive Platform Instructions
  • Discussion Workshop Format
  • Hands On Training (Practical Application)

Training classes often combine the methods of platform instruction and discussion.

Workshop Format

Courses are designed to actively engage participants, as a necessary part of learning is involvement. Each course offers an opportunity for participants to exercise learned skills. From effective communications to active presentations, participants emerge from leader development series with a sense of accomplishment, renew vigor and elevated self-confidence.

Training Program Startup

Requests for MPLG training generally begin with a client inquiry to attain basic information about course content, availability, and fee scheduling. Follow-up usually occurs in the following order:

  • An MPLG member confers with the customer to define training requirements and expectations.
  • Further research with typical target audience who will attend the training course is conducted.
  • MPLG develops training schedule with aid of the customer. Upon mutual approval, MPLG presents a written proposal that specifies full particulars including instructor, student materials, methods of instruction, length of course, location, etc.
  • The customer is invited to review full proposal. Upon agreement, training is ready to commence.

Training Program Management

MPLG training management methods are simple but effective. The primary features in our training management process are as follows:

  • The Senior Instructor or Internal Operations Manager serves as customer point of contact and contract manager.
  • The Instructor administers the training for the student group utilizing the agreed training methods.
  • At the end of the training class, the Instructor administers a learning assessment instrument designed to ensure that the student learn and understands the desired teaching points.
  • Students are also evaluated by the group to enhance team development learning.
